The band, founded by Romanian grunge icon Doru Trăscău in 2008, released a well-received debut album with English songs – Now in Stereo – in 2010, followed by an EP and several singles.
After some line-up changes, including a two-year hiatus, 2017 finds them re-grouped in their current line-up, with newfound energy and a new album – Ușor distorsionat – this time in their native Romanian.
The release was a resounding and totally unexpected success, crowning 9 years of efforts, searches, and passionate work.
With the album’s three lead singles quickly capturing the consciousnesses of Romanian alternative music listeners, and with a growing number of sold-out shows throughout the country,
The Mono Jacks tirelessly kept working on new music.
Gloria, album number three, arrived quickly, at the beginning of 2020, with a sold-out show at Bucharest’s Roman Arenas, right before the pandemic and ensuing lockdowns disrupted the band’s touring schedule.
With 11 brand-new songs, again in their native Romanian, the band re-affirms their sonic identity in the space between indie, alternative rock and post-punk, refining a style that is unmistakably their own.
This event is 18+ or accompanied by parents or legal guardians.
